Mappilai is the remake of the Rajinikanth starrer with the same name. As the name suggest this movie is done by is Son-in-Law Dhanush, with Hansika Motwani in the lead and Manisha Koirala doing a major role. The movie is directed by Suraj. Dhanush has been sticking on to his successful directors and Suraj has been one of them. Vivek plays the comedian in the movie, with his new looks also adding to the humour content.
