Sun pictures has acquired the rights of Dhanush-Hanshika Motwani starer Mappillai.THe film directed by Suraj of padikathavan fame.It has music by Mani Sharma.The film produced by Nemickchand Jakab and Hitesh Jakab is a remake of the yesteryear Rajini Jayapradha hit with the same name.Though the director has said the movies will not be exact replica of the other hit,the storyline alone resembles the same.
Jayapradha plays the mother-in-law of dhanush in the movie. Also in the movie will be Manisha Koirala and also Vivek. The combination of Dhanush and Vivek which was a hit in their last outing will also add to the humor.The movie is stated to be released this October 8th,2010.The audio launch is expected soon.
