Uthamaputiran has hit the theatres this Diwali. This is the third time Mitran is directing a movie and the third time he is redoing a remake of an Telugu movie and again for the third time he is paired up with Dhanush. The movie has a huge star cast with nearly 20 or more prominent cast excluding the lead pair. It includes Vivek, Mayilsamy, Karunas, Uma padbanaban,Srinath, jayaprakash and Bhaykaraj. Sources say that Vivek has been roped in this movie after huge compulsion from Dhanush. It seems vivek will have no dialouges in the movie. Their previous venture in Padikathavan was a huge hit.
     The story line is very simple. Dhanush is from a huge joint family and is as like his every movie 'a happy go-lucky guy'. He stays in the college hostel for his graduation. He helps his cousin elope with her lover and hence he is asked to stay away from the family. But he tries to convinve them and also parallely falls in love with Genelia. The movie is very entertaining with twist and turns and some usual scenes. But the audience can be assured of very good entertainment.
   This is the first time Dhanush is pairing up with music director Vijay Antony. The director who is famous for his unique phrases in the songs has also given one in this movie. Initially Dhanush was hesitant to the phrase but the thing now is that, the song has turned out to be a chart topper. Hope the movie rakes in lots of profit for the producer and praise for the crew.
