Vijay has been away from the box office for quite a long time after his Sleeper Hit ‘Kavalan’. But he is back with a bang this Diwali in ‘Velayudam’. Directed by Jayam Raja, the movie is undoubtedly a commercial masala movie like any other Vijay movie, but with some logic. The movie also stars Hansika, Genelia, Saranya and Santhanam. The movie has raked in lots of positive reviews from all circles. The movie has a full comical track in the first half while the central plot is allowed to build up and the second half comes as a full action packed one. The director has used Vijay’s commercial items well with 5 songs and numerous fights and good comedy. Though the movie is action oriented the stunts are somewhat believable. Vijay has tried to play with his looks in the movie and it has also got some positive reviews. The movie which is supposed to bring back Vijay into successful commercial stint has turned out a success. Let wait if this positive trend continues all along.
Vijay has said this would be his probable last movie in the masala genre and the rest of the ones signed so far are the director’s stories.Lets hope they too turn out successful.
